What is an AFUE Rating and why is it important?
The AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency) rating is a percentage that measures how efficiently your heater can convert fuel into energy.
This is a simple formula to derive this rating. The AFUE is percentage of how the furnace converts fuel to energy.
However, a high AFUE rating doesn’t always mean that you have the right HVAC system or that the furnace will be cheaper to operate. At Clarksville Heating & Air, we will look at a list of other factors in order to determine the most cost-efficient and comfortable system for your home.
