Since 1999, Clarksville Construction Services has earned the trust of homeowners in Howard County & Central Maryland by delivering complete remodeling solutions to Howard County and the Baltimore-Washington corridor. Clarksville Heating and Air, Inc. was born of the combination with Merit Air, widely known in Howard County & Carroll County as a personal, honest, reliable and technically proficient HVAC service provider for 18 years.
Our combined expertise in building and maintaining homeowner comfort led to the 2017 start of Clarksville Heating and Air as Merritt Minnick retired. Merit Air merged with Clarksville Heating and Air, owned by Adam August and Mike Rackers. Collectively, Adam and Mike have over 40 years of heating and air conditioning and business experience with a focus on building trust.

We have the expertise of the giant regional & national HVAC behemoths, but with the personal touch of a small customer-friendly full service comfort provider. With over 30 years in HVAC and customer service experience as a Maryland Master HVAC and Gasfitter, Mike holds NATE (North American Technician Excellence) Certification in all specialties. One of a few in the State of Maryland!
As an associate Industry Leader, Mike has developed large and small groups of Managers and Technicians while also working on the NATE Board of Directors and Technical Committee. He also served on multiple National Committees with ACCA (Air Conditioning Contractors of America). Mike was instrumental in the development of customer service, sales, and technical training programs for the learning community of Maryland HVAC service technicians.
Mike brings this passion, technical experience and Customer Service expertise to locally owned and operated Clarksville Heating & Air where the mission is Improving Life & Comfort! We provide top quality Service and Installations for homes of all sizes and offer Preferred Service Agreements and Home Performance/Indoor Air Quality solutions. We provide our customers worry-free, reliable comfort from a company they can trust.

It provides our clients with exactly what they want to know: the price before the work starts. It prevents customers from paying extra when the technician has to work longer than expected.
When we charge a trip/diagnostic fee, it includes the entire time it takes for one of our technicians to travel to your home or business and diagnose the problem. Our technicians will provide you with an estimate for the repair as well as the diagnosis. You have the option of either accepting or rejecting the repair. We give you an honest deal! No need to watch the clock. No surprises.
